Etude House Wonder Pore Freshener Review

The only toner I've ever used was Dickinson's Witch Hazel. I tried it and it didn't break me out so I thought it was good enough. But then, I read all these reviews on Etude House's Wonder Pore Freshener so I just had to try it. I was blown away by the results so I think I've found a replacement for my old toner. (Sorry Dickinson's!)

Tony Moly Luminous Pure Aura CC Cream Review

First there were BB creams, then CC creams, and now even DD creams! I can't wait to see the day when ZZ creams are a real thing...

Etude House Oh m'Eye Line Review

If I could only use one type of makeup for the rest of my life, it would probably be eyeliner. To me, no look is complete without my signature winged eye look. I've been doing it for as long as I can remember.

I'm always testing out different eyeliners to see what I like. I've found that I favor gel liners. This is actually my first time using liquid eyeliner and I must say, it's a little tricky to apply. It seems harder to control. First, many thanks to KoKo for letting me test this product. Be sure to check out their website and attend their upcoming event if you're from the UK! All the details are in my previous review. Alright, let's continue on with the review. :)

Skin Food Black Sesame Hot Mask Review

I've heard of cooling masks that refresh your skin, but I wasn't aware that there were hot masks too! After KoKo (Korean Kosmetics) notified me that I would be receiving this to review, I was really eager to try it out for myself.

Clio Friday Glow Liquid Shadow Review

I hope everyone is having a great week! I'm back with a review on another Clio product. The Friday Glow Liquid Shadow comes in two liquid-to-powder eyeshadows in the shades Sheer Beige and Deepen Brown. I got these thanks to Peach and Lily! Be sure to check out their website. You can also read my previous review sponsored by them to find out more about their company.

Money Saving Tips!

I love shopping, and as bad as it sounds, I probably buy things every week or two. However, I am super careful with my spending and I use several money saving methods so my weekly purchases are actually quite affordable. I hope this post will offer some insight so you can save a lot of money next time you shop!

Clio Kill Black Waterproof Brush Liner and Mascara Set Review

My favorite eye look of all time is a light, simple eyeshadow with bold black liner. Clio's Kill Black Liner and Mascara set is the perfect addition to any girl's makeup bag.

Summer Staples

When I go shopping for summer clothes, I sometimes lose sight of what I'm shopping for due to the overwhelming amounts of trendy clothing that I am tempted to buy. Often times, these trends don't last forever and I find my compulsive buys stuck in the closet after the season ends.

I've learned the hard way that it's really important to buy clothes you can wear again year after year. It's okay to have some trendy pieces, but you don't want your entire wardrobe to be comprised by it, otherwise you'll be spending a lot of money every season shopping for the latest trends.

I've compiled together my favorite summer staples that work time and time again. If you're from Southern California like I am, you could even wear these things year round. I hope this guide helps you with your summer shopping!

Face Mapping: What Does Your Acne Mean?

Have you ever noticed that you always seem to get acne in the same spots? That's no coincidence. Your acne can tell you a lot about your internal health. The areas of your face where you get acne are directly correlated with specific organs in your body. Face mapping is an ancient Chinese diagnosis of your health. By charting your face into several zones, you can find the underlying causes of your skin problems.

All throughout my early teenage years, I was blessed with nearly flawless skin. I never broke out and would only find the occasional small pimple every so often. But as I got older, I was attacked by an army of tiny bumps all across my forehead and in between my eyebrows. I could never understand why only that part of my face broke out and everything else looked fine. After studying face mapping, I understood my bad habits better and discovered the solutions to clearing that area up. My skin is still not perfect, but I have seen a great deal of improvement since then and I expect my skin to clear up completely someday if I continue what I'm doing!

DIY Vitamin C Serum/Moisturizer

Skincare products containing Vitamin C are all the rage, but they are extremely pricey! You can make your own serum or moisturizer cheaply at home, and it will be just as effective. You only need a few ingredients and you can get most of them at Walmart/Target, health stores, or on eBay! I got all my ingredients for under $4 each!

One reason why it's not worth it to purchase Vitamin C products is because they are rendered ineffective after a period of time. L-ascorbic acid, or Vitamin C reacts to sunlight and heat, so after a while of using the product, it just gets oxidized and does not work well anymore. That's why we will be making our serum/moisturizer in small batches! It will last a few days and then  you can make more.

What's so great about Vitamin C anyway? It protects skin cells from UV radiation, improves skin texture, stimulates collagen production, improves appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, brightens skin, and fades dark spots!

Now that you've heard some of the wonderful benefits Vitamin C provides, let's get started.

Lioele Carry Me Blusher Review

Lioele's Carry Me Blusher is one of the most unique blushes I have ever seen! It's small, portable, and includes a built in puffy sponge. I love cute packaging and the blusher's adorable design is a big plus. I'll be reviewing the blush in the shade Cutie Peach.

PoreBrush Review

You may have heard of the Clarisonic, you may know about the cheaper alternative by Olay, but have you heard of the PoreBrush? A little over a week ago, I received the PoreBrush and I have been using it since. Here are my thoughts on this handheld brush.

DIY Head Chain

Head chains are a simple, elegant way to give your outfit a bohemian vibe. In today's tutorial, I'll show you how you can make your own. It's very cheap and very simple. :)

Shisem Lashes and Darkness Eyelash/Double Eyelid Glue

I was in a small Korean cosmetics store in L.A. where I found some false lashes and glue so I decided to give them try. I opted for lashes that are very natural looking. I really like the way they look on me! I personally prefer false lashes over mascara. I think mascara gets a little clumpy sometimes but with false lashes, they look so smooth and perfect.

A Guide to Shopping on eBay

I love shopping on eBay. It's my go-to place to find things I want for cheap! But when it comes to buying things online, you always have to be careful. Though I have never had an issue with an online purchase before, there are definitely scammers out there. I thought I'd share with you guys my shopping "procedure" to ensure I don't run into problems with my purchase and get the best deal possible. :)

How to Do Ombré Nails

Ombré nails are really fun and surprisingly easy to do! The color scheme I chose feels very tropical and summery to me. Today, I will show you a quick tutorial on how to get this look.

GNC Hair, Skin, and Nails Formula Review

A few weeks back, I decided to give the GNC Hair, Skin, and Nails dietary supplement a try because I felt that my hair was very thin and weak. It's originally $20, but the store was having a promotion where everything was 40% off so I decided to buy it.

DIY Bustier Top In 30 Seconds

You can make an adorable bustier top in a less than a minute --and all you need is a scarf! (It should be lightweight but opaque enough so it's not see-through.) It makes a cute beach coverup, or you could wear it as a normal top. (It's advisable you pin it on the inside if you are going to wear it for extended periods of time. Wouldn't want it to come undone!)

First, place the center of the scarf across your body.

Next, tie it in the back. Try to get both ends to be equal length.

Then, bring one end to the front of your body.

Tuck it in for the sweetheart neckline.

Repeat on the other side and you're done! You can make it shorter if you want. All you have to do is tuck the bottom part inside. There's not really a backside to this top so throw on a cardigan and you have yourself a cute outfit.

Look how easy it was to transform a scarf into a cute top. :)

DIY Knitted Bow Headwrap!

This adorable headwrap only took me two hours to put together! It's very simple to make (if you already know how to knit). It's a great beginner's project because it only requires knitting three pieces and putting them together.

This project does not require a lot of materials. You basically need yarn and knitting needles, all which can be purchased at Walmart for a few dollars. I got Caron Simply Soft in Burgundy and 8 mm knitting needles.

First we will knit the headband. Cast on 10 stitches. You can adjust the stitches accordingly to how thick you want the band to be. Then you just continue like you are knitting a scarf. Keep going until it is a snug fit around your head.

Now you have to put the band together. I am using this yarn needle to sew the ends together. You can also use needle and thread or just use your fingers to weave it together.

Next, we will create the bow. Cast on 12 stitches and keep knitting until you have reached your desired length. The more rows you knit, the larger your bow will be. I stopped around this point.

Then I scrunched it into the shape of a bow and tied yarn in the middle to hold it together.

Lastly, create a thin band that goes in between the bow and wraps around the headband. Cast on 5 stitches and knit just enough so that the band can tightly wrap around the bow and the headband. Sew the ends of the thin band together on the inside.

Here's the final product! It was super easy to make and the materials only cost a couple bucks --way more affordable than buying one at a store. I had lots of yarn left over so I have more than enough yarn to make at least five more. These would be lovely gifts to give to people. :)

I hope this tutorial was helpful to you. Good luck!
