Airplane Essentials

I just recently came back from a trip to Hong Kong and Singapore so I thought it would only be appropriate that I made a guide to essentials for those long plane rides! Use this as a last minute guide to make sure you've remembered everything!

  1. Headphones/earbuds: Headphones are great for blocking out noise, but I personally think they are too bulky and annoying to carry around. I wore my Beats for like 13 hours straight and it made my ears and head feel sore. I prefer using earbuds!
  2. External battery: Total lifesaver. You do not want your phone to die on you when your stuck on a plane for 10+ hours. Check out my review on my Anker external battery here!
  3. Sheet masks: The air is so dry on planes, so make sure you keep your skin refreshed. If you don't want to use a sheet mask and get weird looks from people, you can fill a travel size spray bottle with water and mist your face every hour or so. You can even use rose water, or add vitamin c to it!
  4. Comfy cardigan: It gets quite cold on a plane, so have one of these handy.
  5. Fluffy socks: You probably don't want to wear your shoes the whole time, so keep your feet warm with a cozy pair of socks.
  6. Lotion/lip balm: Keep your skin and lips moisturized with your favorite lip balm and lotion.
  7. Big bag: You need something to carry all your stuff after all!
  8. Gum: Refresh your breath with a stick of gum.
  9. Pillow: Best way to defeat boredom is to just sleep through it! Bring a small pillow to sleep comfortably.
  10. Facial wipes: It feels so refreshing to clean your face and it wakes you up too!
  11. Tablet/phone: Play games, read books, do work, anything to keep you entertained!

What are some of your in flight essentials?

  3. I take long-haul flights pretty much every year, and facial wipes and a mist are my absolute must-haves! Thank you for sharing. I need to check out the external battery.

  4. That tends to happen to me too. I find facial wipes and moisturizer super essential to prevent that.
