DIY Notebooks In 3 Ways

My sister is back in school now, and she asked me to help her revamp her school supplies, so I was inspired to do a post on different ways to decorate notebooks!

DIY #1: Gold Foil Notebook
This one is super simple to do, especially if you get a foiling kit. The one I used for this notebook was from Heidi Swapp, and I found it on sale at Michael's for only $2! The foiling kit makes it easy because you simply attach the design to your notebook cover. The design is adhesive on both sides so when you press the foil sheet on top, it will transfer the foil on it.

DIY #2: Glitter Notebook
For this cover, I found an image online that I liked (I think I just googled deer silhouette for this image). I cut the silhouette out, painted Mod Podge all over it, and sprinkled gold glitter on top. (Perhaps by now you have noticed that I am obsessed with gold.) When the glitter dried, I covered it with another layer of Mod Podge to seal it in and prevent flecks of glitter from falling everywhere. Lastly, I stuck it in the center of my notebook cover! Easy peasy.

DIY #3: Painted Notebook
So this is the notebook my sister actually asked me to beautify. It was really plain and had an oil stain on the cover, so I had to think of a way to cover it up! I think paint looks really nice on kraft notebooks, whether it's acrylic or watercolor. Since watercolor is not really opaque enough to cover the oil stain, I decided to go with acrylic paint. I wanted to do an abstract design, so I took some pretty colors and smeared lines across the cover in varying lengths. Really easy to do, and has a cool effect.

And that's it! Hope you enjoyed these easy DIYs.
